DECEMBER

-26- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCHB Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN is the TOP Rat Terrier in Canada for the THIRD year in a row!!! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels) & is sired by Bolo - Am CH Felixville's Be On The Lookout, DCAT & out of Sassy - CH Pyxis Worth The Risk 4 Clarity, AGNS AGNJS JTS SDIN RATI RATS ADC VN.

-11- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCHB Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN & I braved the wintery roads to attend our second C-WAGS Scent trial hosted by Precision Search Dog. Our last event for the year. We came home with 4 out of 4 Q's: two in Dasher 3 & two in Level 2 under judges Debbie Csongradi & MaryAnn Warren. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-7- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCHB Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN earned his Rally Advanced (RA) title today from the Advanced B class under judge Kelly Ladouceur ! Marvin earned his title by Qualifying 3 out of 3 trials with scores of 89, 91 & 90.
Thanks to the Labrador Retriever Club of Alberta for hosting the two trials today and to all the volunteers! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-7- a "Mr. Spock" daughter "Kandy" - Katandy's Sweet Kandy Kiss, NAP OJP CGC TKP FITB (ex. Am CH. Katandy's Kiss In The Moonlight) earned her AKC Novice Agility Preferred (NAP) title at Level Up Dog Sports at the Bull Dog Club of America under judge Christine Harrison with her owner handler Kristin Calhoun! "Kandy" was bred by Lee Morris (Katandy Boxers). WAY TO GO TEAM KANDY!!

NOVEMBER

-30- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCHB Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN had a great first attempt in the EXCELLENT level at the Canadian Scottish Terrier Society/Scottish Terrier Rescue Sporting Detection Dogs Assiciation (SDDA) trial in Devon, AB today!
Marvin Qualified in Containers under judge Marina Skoreiko. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-16- a "Mr. Spock" daughter "Kandy" - Katandy's Sweet Kandy Kiss, OJP CGC TKP FITB PKD-N (ex. Am CH. Katandy's Kiss In The Moonlight) earned her AKC Open Jumpers Agility title (OJP) at the Level Up Dog Sports from the Novice A class at Greater Washington Dalmatian Dog Club under judge Alex Davis with her owner handler Kristin Calhoun! "Kandy" was bred by Lee Morris (Katandy Boxers). WAY TO GO TEAM KANDY!!

-12- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCHB Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN & I entered our very first C-WAGS Scent trial hosted by Precision Search Dog and came home with THREE Q's: two in Ranger 1 & one in Level 2 under judges Debbie Csongradi & Penny Stiles. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

OCTOBER

-25/26/27- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN PCD SD-S-SP SD-A(3)SDIN VN had a good weekend at the Battle River shows in Camrose, Alberta. Marvin won a Best of Breed & Group 4 in a Huge Terrier Group under Terrier judge Margaret Moran McQuinn and a Best of Breed under judge Cheryl Myers-Egerton!
Marvin's completed his Grand Champion Bronze title this weekend. Marvin is the FIRST Rat Terrier in Canada to achieve this title! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-11- a "Maynard" daughter had a good day at the Kennel Club of Niagra Falls show in Hamburg, NY. "Rosie" - UCH Lee's Summer Scarlet Rose (ex. Howdi's Bae Lee Swirl) went Reserve Winners Bitch to a 2-point win under judge Mr. Brian Bogart. Rosie is loved and owned by Barbara Weimer and bred by Tina Stock (Lee Boxers).


SEPTEMBER

-29/28/29- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RN RATI RATN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) SDIN VN was busy burnin' up the Prairies this weekend in Lloydminster, SK!
Marvin was awarded FIVE Group placements! One Group 2 (Wendy Maisey), Three Group 3 (Yvonne Savard, Joyce Love, Joanne Fernell) & a Group 4 (Kathleen Anderson-Wulff). 
Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-21/22- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) SDIN VN was entered in the Alberta Competition Dog Club Rally trials! Marvin has never been in a Rally class and I am pretty darn green in Rally! I know that his strong Obedience Foundations is why we were successful!
On the first day in our first Novice B trial under judge Sharon Otto Marvin got a HIGH IN CLASS with a Perfect score of 100 and we completed the course in 1 minute 11 seconds! In the 2nd trial, under judge Tami Marks Marvin's score was tied for 1st place with a 96 (due to my errors) but ended up in 2nd place as we were 5 seconds slower (1 min 26 secs) than the 1st place team. The second day Marvin completed his Rally Novice (RN) title again with a score of 96 under judge Linda Haus. In the afternoon I took a chance & moved him up to the Advanced B class. This class is completely off leash and also has a jump. Marvin stayed with me and worked really well, we got a 10pt deduction, on one sign, for him coming into heel position before I called him...OUCH!  But we qualified with a score of 89! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).



AUGUST

-27/28/29- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) SDIN VN had good success at the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan shows
Marvin showed beautifully all weekend & was awarded a Group 3 under Ms. Barbara Heal & a Group 4 under Ms. Catherine Barlow! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-11- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) SDIN VN won Best of Breed at the Edmonton Kennel Club show in Edmonton, Alberta under judge Ms Mary White owner handled by me. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).


JULY

-27-  Our Rat Terrier, “Marvin” - GCH Clarity’s Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) SDIN VN won Best of Breed and made the cut in a huge & very strong Group under judge Ms. Karen Day at the Saskatchewan Terrier Association, Rat Terrier Supported entry Specialty#1 & Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty #2 under Ms. Sandra Orford in Delisle, SK. We had the largest entry of Rat Terriers in Canada to date!!! Woohoo!!!

-20- a "Maynard" daughter, "Phoebe" - Lee's Summer Goddess Phoebe (ex. Howdi's Bae Lee Swirl) completed her Farm Dog Certified title (FDC) at the Cascade Australian Cattle Dog Club today! Phoebe is loved and owned by Debby Mongeau and bred by Tina Stock (Lee Boxers).


JUNE

 - 29/30 & July 1-  We celebrated the Canada Day long weekend by traveling 1200km to attend the Portage Kennel Club shows in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" -  BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SDIN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) VN had a very good weekend & is bringing home 3 Group placements! One Group 3 (Lynne White) & two Group 4's (Lee Anne Bateman & Wendy Maisey)! Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-1/2/3- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SDIN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) VN had a very nice weekend at the Northern Alberta Canine Association All Breed and Ltd Group 4 Breed shows in Edmonton, Alberta. Marvin won all FOUR Best of Breeds (judges: Jean-Louis Blais, Dann Wilson, Pierette McLean & Dr. Francisco Chapa Guajardo) and a Group 3 under Ms.Pierette McLean at the Ltd Group 4 breed show.
Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).


MAY

 -31- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SDIN SD-S-SP SD-A(3) VN won Best of Breed under Ms Nancy Smith Hafner at the Northern Alberta Canine Association show in Edmonton, Alberta. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

-18- I am thrilled with how BOTH my dogs worked at the Canadian Scottish Terrier Club & CSTC Rescue Sporting Detection Dogs Association Sporting Detection Dogs Association (SDDA) scent trials under judge Marina Skoreiko at the Canadian Energy Museum (Home of Leduc #1) in Devon, Alberta. The weather did not cooperate, it was extremely windy, rainy and cold! My main goal this weekend was for Tilde~ GCH Faberly's Key To Summer, CD SD-S-SP SD-A-SP2 RATI RATN VB to qualify in Excellent Exteriors to complete her EXCELLENT title and she DID!!!  And…it was beautiful and in half the allotted time!
Our Rat Terrier, Marvin - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SDIN SD-S-SP SD-A VN completed TWO more Advanced titles, by Qualifying in TWO Exteriors, 1 Containers & 1 Interiors today, (he now has 3 Advanced titles towards his Championship!) & yesterday he received a FIRST place from the Working stream! So pleased with my super sniffers that stayed focused and braved the elements!
Tilde~ was bred by Kimberly Smith (Faberly Boxers) & Mary-Jane Werleman (Pengalli Boxers), Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

 -10/11/12/13- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SDIN SD-S-SP VN had a really nice weekend at the Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club shows in Olds, Alberta winning Best of Breed all three days, and a Group 3 under Mr. Grant Townsend & a Group 4 under judge Ms Catherine Barlow owner handled by me. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).


APRIL

-27- I had a fun & successful day with BOTH my dogs at the Rocky Mountain Whippet Association of Alberta Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Scent trials under judge Marina Skoreiko at the Sunnybrook Farm Museum in Red Deer, AB..
My Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP Qualified & achieved his Instinct title (SDIN) handled by my good friend Tina Clifford.
Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).
Then, our "Maynard" daughter, Tilde~ GCH Faberly's Key To Summer, CD SD-S-SP SD-A-SP2 RATI RATN VB Qualified  & achieved TWO titles: her Instinct (SDIN) and her Novice (SDN). This qualified BOTH dogs for their Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Versatility Novice (VN) titles! Tilde~ was bred by Kimberly Smith (Faberly Boxers) and Mary-Jane Werleman (Pengalli Boxers). 

-6- a "Maynard" daughter had a very nice win at the Oregon Boxer Club Specialty#1, "Fancy" - Can CH Top Knotch N Mephisto Fancy That!, BCAT ACT1 ACT1J SWN SCA SIA SEA  ORT FDC NW1 (ex. MBISS Am GCHB/Can GCH. Mephisto N Toprank Oooh LaLa, BCAT) went Select Bitch under Ms Christiaan P. Curtis handled by Vienna Yeadon! Fancy was bred by Michelle Yeadon (Mephisto Kennels) & Cheryl Emerson (Top Knotch Boxers) and is owned by Kerri Carter.
 

MARCH

-22/23/24- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN SD-S-SP had a really nice weekend at the Battle River Canine Association shows in Camrose, Alberta winning Best of Breed all THREE days, and a Group 4 under judge Ana Beatriz Knoll.  Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

 
FEBRUARY

-18- Our Rat Terrier, "Marvin" - BPISS GCH Clarity's Kaboom of Summer, PCD RATI RATN  SD-S-SP Qualified for his second Q in Advanced Containers under judge Kelly Ladouceur in Red Deer, Alberta at a Sporting Detection Dogs Association (SDDA) Scent trial. Marvin was bred by Rachel Jesse (Clarity Kennels).

JANUARY


-13/14/15 & 18/19/20- a "Maynard" daughter, had a GREAT circuit in Puyallup, WA & Portland OR with her breeder owner handlers Michelle Yeadon & Cheryl Emerson.
  "Fancy" - Can CH Top Knotch N Mephisto Fancy That!, BCAT ACT1 ACT1J SWN SCA SIA SEA ORT FDC NW1 (ex. MBISS Am GCHB/Can GCH. Mephisto N Toprank Oooh LaLa, BCAT) went Select Bitch at the Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers under J. Becerra-Hernandez, Best of Breed at the Seattle Kennel Club under James Moses, Best of Breed at the Gig Harbor Kennel Club under Honey Glendinning (Cheryl handled), Best of Opposite Sex at the Tualatin Kennel Club under Neil McDeritt and Best of opposite Sex in BOTH Dog Fanciers Association of Oregon shows under judges Terrie Breen and John Ramirez. Fancy is loved & owned by Kerri Carter & co-owned by Cheryl Emerson (Top Knotch Boxers). Fancy was bred by Michelle Yeadon (Mephisto Kennels) & Cheryl Emerson (Top Knotch Boxers).

  -1- a "Maynard" daughter, "Lively" - MBIS Can GCH/Am GCH Mephisto N Top Knotch XOXO Gossip Girl was the #2 Boxer and #1 Boxer Bitch in Canada for 2023!!!
